In celebration of women’s entrepreneurship and the season of love, Aviatra Accelerators is hosting a Galentine’s Gala. Aviatra Accelerators is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women on their entrepreneurial journeys for 15 years. Through classes, community engagement, and a range of resources, Aviatra has supported numerous women in launching and growing their businesses.
Now in its third year, the Galentine’s Gala is the result of a desire to highlight women-owned business and a commitment to inclusivity, including brands from both Kentucky and Ohio.
Jasmine Hughes, Director of Marketing & Development at Aviatra, emphasizes the intentionality that goes into every detail, “we have four boutiques we are spotlighting at the gala, each a women-owned local business, with local models strutting the runway in amazing pieces. ”
Every year Hughes works to highlight four boutiques at the Gala. This year’s featured boutiques and designers include Alisha Lee of Me By Lee Designs, Suzy King & Brittney Breamer of Handzy Shop+Studio, Renika Smiley of Lusheous Collection, and Catrena Bowman of Inspired Fashion. The fashion show promises an impressive diversity of styles, from Lusheous Collection’s celebration of women with curves to Me by Lee Designs’ elegant and vibrant clothing. Guests will be treated to a showcase that reflects the creativity and individuality of women from all backgrounds.
When selecting which businesses to feature, Hughes notes the importance of working with women who are "bold dreamers, passionate, and willing to take on challenges. " This spirit of ambition and resilience not only drives Aviatra’s mission but also serves as a source of inspiration for future entrepreneurs.
For those attending the Gala, Hughes encourages guests to dress up, wearing outfits that make them feel confident and empowered. While the Galentine’s Gala is spotlighting women-owned boutiques and businesses, it’s also a celebration of the community of attendees who come together to uplift and inspire women.

Another major highlight of the gala is its fundraising efforts through a silent auction and paddle raises. Guests can raise their paddle and donate scholarships or contribute to initiatives that advance Aviatra’s mission. In turn, these efforts support the organization’s commitment to uplifting women entrepreneurs by providing the resources and encouragement they need to pursue their dreams.
Scholarships are awarded to women who are ready to take the leap into entrepreneurship but may not have the financial means to make the next steps. The silent auction features services and products from women-owned businesses, giving guests the opportunity to discover and support the talents and offerings of women in the community.
Driven by a deep passion for helping others, Hughes believes Aviatra is truly changing the game for women’s dreams, turning aspirations into reality through impactful initiatives like theGalentine’s Gala. That vision, she explains, is at the heart of the event itself “The mission of the gala is a celebration of fashion, of sisterhood, and of female empowerment. It’s a truly wonderful opportunity to honor the women who are making an impact and doing amazing things in our community ”.
